Historical Timeline

2012

Starting Small

So, back in 2012, our founder Risma Suherja decided to gather a team of passionate creatives and started Hompimpa Studio on December 7th . We were all about making fun, high-quality content for kids right from the get-go. Pretty soon after starting, we jumped into our first project—a 3D Animation Series —and that’s when the adventure really began.

2014

Tough Times, Big Dreams

We introduced our very first original IP, GOB and Friends , releasing the first 10 episodes on YouTube. But hey, life’s not always smooth sailing, right? We hit a rough patch financially, so we had to pivot for a bit. To keep things moving, we started offering 3D Animation Services for YouTube creators. That helped us stay afloat while still working on our baby, GOB and Friends .

2015

Going Global

Things started looking up in 2015 when we landed our first international gig with AMUSE NETWORK (France) . We met them at MIPCOM Cannes , and that was our ticket to the global stage. Working with AMUSE was a huge step forward for us—it showed us that we could compete internationally and make an impact.

2017

A Big Win

Fast forward to 2017, and we finally finished producing 91 episodes of GOB and Friends . The series aired in over 22 countries ! Honestly, it felt surreal seeing something we worked so hard on being enjoyed by kids all over the world. It was a real “we made it” moment for us.

2018

Growing Bigger

It was a game-changer for us. USP Studio trusted us to help develop some of their IPs, like Loconuts, Boombuddies, Bob the Train, and Junior Squad . With all the new projects coming in, we grew from just 20 artists to a team of 50 artists in no time. It was wild but exciting—we were officially leveling up!

2019

Surviving the Storm

2019 was tough. YouTube pulled personal ads for kids’ content because of a big fine from the FTC in the U.S. . That hit a lot of small studios hard, including us. For a while, we had to pause production on everything. But hey, we’re resilient. We managed to land a project with OCON Studio (Korea) , the folks behind Pororo, to work on Super Z Season 2 for TV. Plus, we partnered with Zoland Animation (China) to co-produce our own IP, Betsy the Bear Car , which had 53 episodes . We didn’t just survive—we thrived.

2020

A Fresh Start

In 2020, we rebranded ourselves as Hompimpa Animworks . It felt like a fresh start, and we were ready to take on new challenges. That year, we started developing a new IP called Sportbots and got some cool contracts from USP Studio to work on series like Booya, Woofies, and Dinobees .

2021

Keeping the Momentum

It was all about keeping the ball rolling. We continued working with USP Studio on new seasons of Booya, Woofies, and Dinobees . These projects kept us busy and reminded us why we love what we do.

2022

Building Something New

We teamed up with USP Studio again to bring Sportbots to life. We spent a lot of time refining the concept and getting it ready for the world. It was exciting to see one of our ideas grow into something tangible.

2023

Launching Sportbots

It was a big year for us because we finally released Sportbots on YouTube. It was awesome to see kids and families enjoying it. Honestly, it felt like all the late nights and hard work paid off. We’re really proud of this one.

2024

More Exciting Projects

We’ve got some cool new projects lined up. We’re working with UbestKid (China) on an animation series called Cool Baby Park , and we’ve also teamed up with YOBOHO Studio (India) to produce Meeko Family Series . It’s shaping up to be another busy but exciting year for us.

ANIMATICS.

DIGITAL TRAFFIC RESEARCH.

Before choosing a topic, theme, or story, we conduct digital market research using tools like Google Trends, Google Keyword Planner, and other supporting data to discover what truly resonates with our target audience.

Initial Story/premise.

We team up with our clients to craft powerful story premises that not only spark interest, but also stay true to their vision and purpose.

Bella, Nada, Shani, Coco, and Kiki are the Kweakiez, a creative team in Craftopia. With magical "Creative Bags," they solve quirky problems and bring joy, but every solution brings new surprises.
